Day 8

Flightseeing trip to Denali and Road Trip to Wasilla Saturday, September 2

Our hosts hung out with us last night at the fire pit and since we had not see the whole mountain they recommended a flightseeing tour,  He is a local builder and gave us some discount coupons for a local friends company.  We could get a our cell phones to call out, so this morning they called and helped us schedule a impromptu tour.  We flew to 12k feet in an eight-seater plane, this is the highest we have flow in a small plane. 

After the plane trip, we visited the town of Talkeetna

Tonight we are Wasilla, home of Sarah Palin.

Day 7

Denali ATV Adventures Saturday September 1

So we have four wheelers, but I wanted to ride one in Alaska.  We found a tour going out of Healy that offered a 2x2, so we took our chance and booked a trip.  We were skeptical because when we showed up to meet the tour group there were 16 people.  Luckily, they put us right behind the guide and she rode like a southern girl...so we blasted along through rocky steep trails and then slowed to wait on the others.  We rode to three overlooks and one stream.

Came back to Trappers Creek to the Airbnb we stayed in earlier.  Loved it so much, we came back for another night.  Another night by a fire pit and alarm is set as there is a low chance of seeing the Arora Borealis tonight.  The owners have turned off all of the outdoor building lights and promised not to shoot me if they find someone wandering around in the middle of the night.
