Day 4

When we woke up this morning at 6:00 a.m. it was raining, so we went back to bed and got back up at 7:30. As we were loading the bike Mark discovered bolts missing from the tour-pak which hold my entire back rest on. We found a HD dealership close by and picked up the needed bolts and repaired it in the parking lot.

Next we headed across SD. We have been through SD twice before, once in 1989 when we went to Yellowstone and again in 2003 when we went to Sturgis. We have seen the Badlands National Park from the interstate, but never actually drove through them so this year we decided to take a detour and check them out.

We are currently in Wall, SD. It is kinda like Pedro's South of the Boarder, a complete tourist trap, but a huge storm was rolling in from the west, so we are seeking shelter for the evening.

We only covered about 300 miles today, but it was nice to get off of the interstate and take in our first national park.

It's supper time, so we're off to grub!!

  1. Were you too relaxed against the back-rest?? :-)

Every time you go west, you end up in the Dakotas! Guessing it's too hot for AZ...Stay Safe!
